I was sitting down yesterday with some tea perusing the wayback machine just reading, and then out of nowhere for whatever reason I remembered three different realllly shitty 'Make Your Own!' style website forums. Y'know, one of the ones where you basically typed a domain name and you had a hosted server to have a message board with friends.

If memory serves, Linkman had one, I had one and a third user that I don't remember well had one. The third users crashed and burned immediately, both mine and Linkmans did well but since we were friends we decided to ditch one to consolidate. But by the time that happened one of the actual sites went up by Daniel.

My little kid pride and showboating must have thought I was so cool for being an admin of a cardboard cutout of a forum hosting website. I must have been a little shit with abusing of power as well. Please tell me someone at least vaguely remembers these so I know I'm not crazy lol

We had one that spun off into Faded Enigma. It started out as a Brawl clan then 2 seconds later was just a place to hang out. Had it as one of those zetaboards for a long time with a xat chat at the bottom. The xat pretty much took over for a long time (2010-2017). Eventually it went into being a discord group that still currently exists. We had quite a number of members at the peak in like 2012 and almost all of them were from GT. I think like 2-3 people just ended up joining the group with no GT affiliation.

Those of us on Jedi Sith had a proboard we used as a backup for when GT was down but for some reason when GT went down for good we set up a different forum instead, forget what it was but it was one of them free ones you can just sign up and set up. Then when Daniel's GT went up we moved there because he was one of us and so had contact with many of us to let us know he'd created it. Then we moved to GTX0.

Proboards was always the goto for making cardboard forums.

I remember there was another site called gtrestoration that existed and it looked exactly like GT did. It lasted for like 6 months till everyone emigrated here
