Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Reviews
Video Game News & Discussions

It seems like Sekiro leans a bit more into Bloodborne territory than Dark Souls, which I'm all for. Really want to get started on it (PC for me), but I know I should focus on finishing DMC5 first. And of course, Apex just had to go and introduce their most fun character to date in order to di

Which online games do you currently play?
Video Game News & Discussions

Just Apex for now. Gave up Overwatch a couple months ago; was already getting bored of it, but the OWL meta really helped drain what little fun I was still having in that game.

It's taken me a while to adjust to the PS4 controller, as I usually play competitive FPS on PC, but I'm getting there. D

Man, that's rough. While I never spoke much with Jason over the years, I always got the sense that people couldn't help but be kinder to each other whenever he entered a thread. He was the bright spot of this little community, a gentle soul whose presence will be sorely missed.

My heart goes out

It's fluid so long as you're chaining combos together, as it's always been with that series. For myself, it feels like a great mix between 4 and the Ninja Theory game so far. Putting points into dashing and grabbing early on makes a world of difference, too.

I am lost as far as the story g

That is entirely possible, but it's hard to justify purchasing another game after not liking its predecessor.

I have the same concerns with Witcher 3 after not liking Witcher 2 at all.

Completely understandable, however both Dark Souls and The Witcher saw marked improvements ac

Entertainment & Media

I suppose the biggest thing about this album is tempering expectations. Thirteen years between releases puts massive pressure on any band, let alone one of the most influential and revered metal acts of all time. I think it'd be unfair going into this expecting them to revolutionize the genre or any

@Vandy You could always try elsewhere in the series. The original Dark Souls never quite hooked me for whatever reason, but I loved DSII and DSIII, and especially Bloodborne (to the point where I went out of my way to platinum it - the only game I've ever wanted to do that for).

What games you wanna buy for the rest of the year and how big is your
backlog?

Video Game News & Discussions

Fair, but I kinda notice this is a thing people say about games and almost never about movies or television or books.

As SOH said, all those things are less time consuming than most of the games I'd play. I don't have hours upon hours of free time anymore, and when I do, the last t

Will be picking up DMC5 later this week. It's been a long time coming, and it's looking like everything I'd hoped it would be. Otherwise, I'm not really up to speed with game releases anymore. Are Ori and Sekiro still set to drop this year? They're about the only two off the top of my head that I'm

I've been playing Apex Legends on PS4 since launch. It's not the be-all and end-all of shooters, but it's by far the most fun I've had with a BR game. The gunplay is smooth and punchy, map is well-designed, and the ping system is a godsend. There are still some QoL improvements to be made (some weap

Was lucky enough to see a screening of They Shall Not Grow Old. The mountain of effort put into restoring such old film was incredible; it's an absolutely mesmerizing documentary that left me quite emotional. I'd just been in Wellington a couple months beforehand, and had visited Peter Jackson's Gre

Just a few matches of Overwatch here and there. I think the missus is getting me Red Dead for Christmas though.

Hey man, I'm alive and well! Been busy with work and my own projects, and in my spare time I'm usually out and about. Just returned home from a 16-day trek around New Zealand the other day too (what a spectacular country).

And honestly, I've just been really burnt out on this website for a while

Red Dead, I guess? Although I'm still expecting it to be delayed until next year (which is already jam-packed with good shit). Otherwise nothing, pretty uneventful.

I don't remember Kai Leng being an interesting fight at all, just it being a relief to finally kill off such a shitty, contrived character. Agreed on Mr. Freeze though; easily one of the Arkham series' best because it broke up the monotony of a typical boss fight, and forced the player to find a new
