Advice for quitting a job?
General

Sounds like this is your first real, well-paying job.

Consider not burning bridges on your way out. You can offer to stay on long enough to train a replacement. If you're interviewing for other jobs in the meantime and you let prospective employers know the situation, that will reflect really

Suggestions for Austin, Texas?

Thanks Mariomguy. My sister had some good bbq for the wedding dinner, but I was smashed and can't remember it all that well.

It was great though.

And today I got really lucky – I got to see Beto O'Rourke! Below is the video of his speech. If the quality were a bit better you could maybe see

Can we have multiple threads for the Midterms?

I wanted to suggest exactly that, that people talk about their own house races and what predictions they have for them.

Can we have multiple threads for the Midterms?

I still don't see why, it would be perfectly fine contained in one thread.

Well, let's just try this way for once.

Because I think the Senate races are important enough, yet limited to only about 3 or 4 races that are uncertain, to warrant its own thread and not have to compete with the dram

Okay. I just wanted to suggest it first before starting 3-4 threads in a row.

Life Is Strange 2 - Episode 1

I watched it through an LP.

My main criticism is that it doesn't seem like there are a good variety of outcomes in the storyline, so the choices you make don't seem to matter except for how it goes until the next plot point. That's what I notice about most telltale games, though. And, granted, I

I have a suggestion.

Leading up to and during the Midterms on Tuesday, instead of having one thread about it, presumably made by whoever does it first, can we have three separate threads?

My ideas is to have a thread for the House, a thread for the Senate, and a thread for Governorships and Pr

Suggestions for Austin, Texas?
General

Hey guys.

I'll be in Austin from Friday to Monday for my sister's wedding, and I'm looking for suggestions on what to see, do, buy, eat, etc.

Keep in mind I'm not there for long, and I don't know how much free time I'll have, but who knows? I'd appreciate any suggestion.

So I'm all ears!

AGW- I know you probably like it cheap, but you could always invest in a Yeti container (coolers, bottles, thermaces), that are super good in keeping things cold or hot.

Anyway, I wanted to post in this thread again to talk about a book I just finished reading, which is incidentally none of the o

What is the best religion and why?

Sikhism is probably the best. It's basically like the Jedi Order.

Why don't you ask Famov about it? He's still living in the Cold War.

I'm watching through an LP right now. Looks really, really good. And even though I wish I could play it and do everything I'd want to, like explore more and do some challenges, it does lend itself well to just watching it, since it has awesome cinematography.

Let a month go by, the enthusiasm will die down and the game will be played through and we'll know if there's any staying power after that.

No worries, hope it all goes well with you. So Cal would be tough to leave, that's one place I'd consider going to if I found the right job.

And SOH, I know you just started this job, and it's stressful af from the sound of it, but with that kind of experience and your previously expressed intere

If you're interested in jumping straight into a case worker job in New York City, you can always join Children's Corps. It's something I considered doing after Peace Corps.

Well I've been in China for the last 5 years, first as a Peace Corps volunteer teaching English, then teaching English and studying Chinese, then did a one year graduate program in Chinese last year. I was doing an internship this past Summer in Beijing with a research consultancy firm that focuses

He absolutely deserved to be punished for what he did.

The girl was just standing with her boyfriend, getting ready to get a bite to eat. She wasn't being naughty or anything.
